Loreal Power Volume Collagen 24 Hour Mascara

Loreal Power Volume Collagen 24 Hour Mascara

As of late I've been using Full N' Soft by Maybelline for my every day mascara, which has turned into my favorite mascara ever. I wanted to try something really black for going out that wasn't too expensive, so I picked up the Loreal 24 hr. Power Volume Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black. This really delivers on color and volume, that's for sure. It didn't get too spidery on me either, which is nice because alot of the volume mascaras do that. The finish is semi-hard, a little bit harder than I normally like but at least it does last all day long. I don't know who wears their mascara for 24 hours, def. not me!, so that marketing aspect of it is not important to me. It does last all day with no smudging, so that's good at least. The great thing about this mascara is just a little bit of warm water softens it enough to wash it off really easily. I felt like it brought the drama I was looking for in terms of being super black without being too expensive, so I'll probably use it until it's all used up.:) You can find this at your local drug store or www.target.com. :)

MAC Pro 205 Mascara Fan Brush....No More Clumps Ever...

MAC Pro 205 Mascara Fan Brush....No More Clumps Ever...

(one coat of mascara)

(2 coats of mascara)

I bought the MAC PRO 205 Mascara Fan Brush off of ebay a few years ago and recently have been putting it to use again. After trying so many new mascaras, I kind of forgot about this brush. This is a brush that will allow you to get a VERY natural mascara look. You can literally turn any kind of mascara into a soft and clump free mascara just by using this brush. All you have to do is brush it along the spool of the mascara wand to pick up some of the formula and gently starting at the base of your eyelashes wiggle it upwards. I love the natural effect it gives. You definitely don't want to use something like this if you are looking for dramatic eyelashes...although maybe it would be a good option if you added false eyelashes. I bought this brush for 19$ but it looks like it has gone up based on the few I found through ebay. Here is a link for a few ebay sellers that have it at 30$.

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

I had to try the new Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer at Sephora recently and here are the results. This is a 100% full coverage concealer. So for those who wear tinted moisturizer daily, I would say this is not for you. This concealer is super thick, creamy and opaque. That's why I felt like I had a hard time finding a good color match. The medium is what is pictured on me. As you can see, it totally deletes any hint of undereye circles. I put eye cream on underneath it so that it would spread easier, that is how thick it is! But I felt that the medium was a TINY bit too light, given that it is summer and I will probably be a bit more tan. I think if I had the medium and the tan, I could mix the colors together, and it would be perfect. I think Tarte needs to make a color in between the medium and the tan though, because there is a quite a range between the two. Needless to say, this is a phenomenal coverage all natural concealer that utilizes Maracuja oil to soften lines and moisturize skin while concealing. You can find it here for 24$. It also will cover blemishes, discoloration, redness, etc...
